The Day the Music Died

|

One of AICJ's light music bands has decided to call it quits after three years of making music together.

The three member band consisting of  guitar player and vocalist Akihiro Kobayashi,

bass player Kei Sunano and drummer Yuya Kishino played what might be their last live performance at this years culture day.

They were among the most talented and popular bands at AICJ, combining a radical rock and

grunge sound of all English music from bands like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana and Velvet Revolver.

It was Akihiro Kobayashi's decision to disband, due to his desire to play more modern blues.

He will continue to be inspired through playing such American greats like Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Bass player Kei Sunano said, "It's the cool guitar sounds." of bands like like the Red Hot Chili Peppers

that made him love American and English rock music.

He doesn't like Japanese popular music, and finds it lacking in any originality.

Hopefully this won't be the last of this band.

And hopefully they have inspired other musicians at AICJ to try to take on playing some real rock and roll.
